Idea’s for future Sunday events!

Post by Western Air Virtual » 24 Mar 2018, 10:12

Hello All

Please use this topic to put across any ideas we should consider for our regular sunday events. This can be anything. This may include ATC, Hops, old war birds or even mentoring. If you have any ideas at all please let us know.
Kind regards

Hi

-Could we have an event where pilots have certain check points to fly around consisting of some touch and go’s. This could be some kind of race where the best time wins.

-How about two small airfields that can be manned for light aircraft. No radar coverage for the airfields but only on route. With ground to air radio staff at the two airfields. Could possibly have a zone on route that pilots have to get permission to pass through. Thruxton to Wellesbourne Mountford with Brize Norton zone transits.
Kind Regards

Jethro here (obviously :P ),

Perhaps flying around the valleys of Yosemite National Park. It's a fairly scenic area with numerous nearby airfields. Points of interest are the likes of Glacier point, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley and John Muir Trail. Another point that makes this area unique, is the Giant Ancient Sequoia Trees.

This has been Jethro coming at you with a suggestion for a future event.
HAPPY FLYING, and remember, the ANTONOV225 maybe big, but big is beautiful! 8-)
I dont know if this works...

Direct GPS?.. What is this sorcery?.. A map of the local area will reveal all ;)
